Graham Nash, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, Keb' Mo', Krishna Das, Emily Saliers, John Hall Perform Benefit Peace Concert at the Cathedral

Join Bishop John Bryson Chane and Cathedral Dean Samuel T. Lloyd III on Tuesday, October 16 for an extraordinary night of prayer and music. Renowned musicians and prominent religious leaders will express our collective desire for peace in song and spiritual wisdom from diverse traditions. We rejoice in offering this interfaith expression of the Cathedral's Centennial celebration and honor His Holiness the Dalai Lama, on the eve of his receipt of the Congressional Gold Medal.

Reflections on peace by Chief Stephen Adkins, Sheikh Ahmad Bahraini, the Rev. Dr. Bernice Powell Jackson, Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa, the Very Rev. Leonid Kishkovsky, Imam Mohamed Magid, Rabbi David Saperstein, the Rev. Mpho Tutu and others.

The famed Tibetan Buddhist tradition of multi-phonic chanting will highlight the interfaith prelude prayer ceremony, and include Lama Zopa Rinpoche and highly trained chantmasters.

Proceeds will benefit the Cathedral's Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation and the International Campaign for Tibet.
